Transfers & Home Care

Safer moves and more independence at home.

Getting in and out of bed, onto a chair or to the bathroom can be the hardest part of the day, for the person and for the caregiver. The right equipment takes the strain out of each move.

Is this you?

You might be in the right place if…

You don't need to know the name of the equipment. Tell us what's happening, and we'll help you work out the rest.

  • Getting in or out of bed needs help.
  • A caregiver is lifting or moving someone by hand.
  • You need your head raised to breathe or sleep.
  • Someone spends most of the day in bed and needs to change position often.

Insurance in plain words →

Hospital bed

Original Medicare
Usually covered when criteria are met
Florida Medicaid
Usually covered, with approval first

Medicare usually needs

  • Your doctor writes down a medical reason a regular bed won't work, for example you need your head raised more than 30 degrees most of the time for a heart or lung condition, special positioning to relieve pain, or traction.
  • For a bed with electric head and foot (semi-electric): you also need frequent or immediate changes in position.

Medicare Advantage, Medicaid health plans and employer plans usually follow similar rules, often with approval first. Coverage depends on your plan, your doctor's order and your medical records. See how your request moves →
  1. Tell us about the home

Call us. We ask about the bedroom, doorways and who helps with moves.

  2. We line up the paperwork

We check what your insurance needs and request the order and notes from the doctor.

  3. We deliver and set it up

We assemble the bed or lift in the room and show the family how to use it safely.

Talk it through with our team.

Call and tell us what's going on. A person answers, and there's no pressure.
