ARVIS®

Augmented Reality Visual & Information System

The ARVIS® Augmented Reality System represents the next era of orthopaedic technology. This wearable, self-contained system delivers real-time, hands-free surgical guidance directly to you at the point of care. Cameras mounted at your viewpoint track re-usable markers on the patient to provide accurate navigation guidance for total hip, total knee, and unicompartmental knee arthroplasty.

ARVIS is designed to generate measurably better patient outcomes in a streamlined, space-conserving, and cost-effective1,2 manner as compared to traditional robotics.

Description

Surgeon Controlled

ARVIS is operated by hands-free gaze and voice, keeping you in control, not a robot or a technician. Tracking cameras at your viewpoint minimize line-of-sight issues.

AR for the OR™

Proprietary augmented reality (AR) eyepiece was designed specifically for orthopedic surgeons. Combines stereo IR racking cameras with a 3D AR display all powered by a high-performance mobile processor.

Information where you need it

AR display projects information directly over the operative field, keeping your focus on the patient instead of screens across the room.

Intraoperative Guidance

All required information is collected intraoperatively by registering anatomic landmarks. No extra pre-operative imaging or planning is required.

Space-conserving with no disposables

Portable, self-contained eyepiece worn by you and single tray of re-usable instruments covers both hip and knee arthroplasty.

Attach Trackers. Register Landmarks. Navigate.

Femur

Attach tracker to the femur and cutting block.

Register knee center, AP Axis, epicondyles, and hip center.

Navigate distal femoral resection.

Tibia

Attach trackers to the tibia and cutting block.

Register knee center, tibeal plateau, AP Axis, and epicondyles.

Navigate proximal tibial resection.

Hip

Attach trackers to the pelvis, femur*, and impactor.

Register the coronal plane and femoral reference point.*

Navigate cup placement and change in leg length.*

*Change in leg length indication is only included in the supine hip workflow.
